Camp Arise creates space for young people to step away from everyday pressures and enter into a weekend centered on faith, belonging, community, and preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

What should campers expect from the weather?
December in Julian can be cold, especially at night, with the possibility of rain or snow. Warm layers, closed-toed shoes, gloves, and a hat or beanie are recommended. View current weather information.

Campers should pack for cool mountain weather, including extra socks, warm layers, closed-toed shoes, gloves, and a hat or beanie. A twin-sized fitted sheet can also provide an extra touch of comfort.
What if a teen comes without friends from their parish?
Camp Arise is designed to help teens connect with new people. Games, icebreakers, small groups, and shared retreat experiences naturally encourage new friendships throughout the weekend.
Can special dietary needs be accommodated?
Yes. Dietary needs and allergies should be communicated in advance so the Food Service team can prepare appropriately.
Is Whispering Winds accessible?
Whispering Winds is a mountain property with natural terrain, unpaved walkways, and elevation changes. Some accommodations are available. Please contact the office in advance to discuss individual needs.
