Thank you for your interest in being on the Whispering Winds Summer Support Staff. The positions below are based at our camp in Julian, CA, approximately one hour north east from San Diego. Staff members of Whispering Winds are expected to be role models and hosts to the children, youth and adults from all walks of life who we serve. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a positive attitude, and be able to nurture group development while being safe and having fun at this special place. Applicants must also pass a background check.
We have many exciting positions available! Staff members will work Whispering Winds Family Camps and other summer programs. Daily responsibilities include:
• Leading camp activities
• Public speaking
• Facilitating Low Elements Challenge Course, Zip Line & Climbing Wall
• Acting in Bible plays
• Lifeguarding
• Assisting with maintenance, food service & housekeeping projects
Staff receives room and board, a bi-monthly stipend, and opportunities for spiritual and personal growth. Each team member commits to a period from June 15 to August 4, 2020.
