Weather

At over 4,000 feet, Julian’s high elevation provides clean air, blue skies and four distinct seasons.

• Spring –Usually cold at night, but sunny and cool during the day. We have seen snow as late as April. Daffodils are in bloom all over the camp. This is a great time for bonfires!
• Summer – Pleasant, warm to hot days and comfortable evenings. Occasional thunderstorms. Falling stars peak in August. The pool is open and it’s a great time to use the challenge course.
• Fall – The trees change color and we see many deer, wild turkeys, and pheasants. The Julian Apple Fest is happening in town. Time for hot chocolate and hot apple cider!
• Winter – This is our rainy season. We get occasional snow with heavy snowfall once or twice during the season. We welcome snow at camp and keep the roads plowed. Turn on the fireplace in Founders Hall!
