Our Food Service team prepares meals with care and consideration so that you can focus on quality time together. We strive to provide the best hospitality in a warm, welcoming environment!

As a guest of Whispering Winds, you can expect a diverse selection of meals with tasty options also available for guests with special diets. We regularly serve guests with a wide range of dietary needs related to food allergies and other health issues. We feel you’ll find our food, staff, and dining hall very accommodating! 

While we are not an allergy-free facility, we accommodate gluten-free, egg, dairy, and nut allergies, as well as vegetarian diets. Please let your group leader know (if you’re with a Rental Group) or let us know once you register (if you’re attending a Program) of any dietary requests so that we may make arrangements to serve you while you’re here. If you have an allergy separate from the ones listed, please let us know, as we have plenty of options available!

Our prepared food is presented from a self-serve line. You’ll find a Breakfast Bar in the morning and Lunch/Dinner self-service with a Garden Bar. We have hot and cold beverages available from coffee, tea, hot cocoa, soda, and juice machines.

Please do your best to be on time for meals as we will start to clean up approximately 45 minutes from your meal start time due to health department requirements.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When is the Dining Hall open?

Our dining hall is open only at meal times. It’s closed between meals for cleaning and prep.

How are meals served?

We do a self serve style, but we ask that you wait for everyone to go through before coming back for seconds.

Do you accomodate dietary restrictions?

Yes!

If you have any dietary restrictions, please come to the kitchen window to talk to our staff as they may provide a separate meal based on submitted dietary requests. It is important, if you have a food allergy or special diet, to speak to a kitchen staff member at your first meal.

What drink options do you have?

We have several options for drinks, ranging from sodas, juices, coffee, and tea. Theres also a water tab on the soda machine, but if you need to fill water bottles, we have a water barrel in the Dining Hall for that.

Is there a place to get coffee when the Dining Hall is closed?

We have coffee in our Welcome Center, and we also have coffee and tea in our Coffee Corner, which is open from 6:30am to 5:30pm; please help yourself!

What do we do when we're done eating?

When you have finished eating, please bring your dishes to the kitchen window and scrape any leftover food and trash into the garbage containers. If you have unfinished drinks, please pour it into the sink before throwing in the garbage.

For your dishes and utensils, you will find separate containers in the window. To avoid congestion at the window, we ask that you clear your dishes after eating and return to your seat if you’d like to continue conversing.
