How do I begin the reservation process?
Complete our online rental inquiry form, or call our office at 619-464-1479. We will ask you the information on the inquiry form.
How much of a deposit is required? When is it due?
We require a 25% deposit for your minimum guaranteed number of people. Contracts are sent approximately 6 months prior to your arrival date; the deposit is due with the signed contract 30 days later.
What kind of retreats do you host?
We host groups from all over Southern California and Arizona for youth, confirmation, parish ministries, families, corporate retreats, etc.
Does my group have to be Catholic to come to Whispering Winds?
No, all groups are welcome!
What is included in the standard rate?
Lodging, meals, 1 meeting space per group, and most amenities. Expecting 175+ people? Check out our Exclusive Use option!
May I rent out the whole camp?

Do you have a pool? How much does it cost?
Yes. The pool rate is $150 per day and includes certified lifeguards. More details
What does the Challenge Course consist of?
Climbing Wall, Zip Line and Low Ropes. One element, $18 per person; two elements, $30 per person; all three elements, $50 per person.
How do I reserve the Challenge Course?

How may I visit the camp?

What forms do I need to bring to camp?
All guests entering Whispering Winds need to fill out a waiver.
What is the insurance requirement?
We require comprehensive general liability insurance with a combined single limit for personal injury and property damage of not less than $1,000,000.
Will my group be the only one at camp?
Not necessarily – sometimes we host more than one group at a time. You will know in advance which meeting space you will have and how many lodging rooms you have been assigned.
How far in advance do I need to book?
ASAP – dates are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We can put date inquiries on our calendar over a year in advance.
How is the food?
Whispering Winds has a talented Chef on site who serves delicious meals. We can handle most dietary restrictions; please let us know as soon as possible if anyone in your group is a vegetarian, eats gluten-free, etc. Please visit our Dining Hall page.

What’s the weather like?

Do you have a priest on site?
No, but we can recommend some local priests whom you may contact.
What sacramental elements are available for guests to use?
We have a portable tabernacle (upon request), portable altar, holy water font and a processional crucifix. We also have a Mass Kit you may check out. Please ask Priests to bring their own vestments.
How fast does the zip line go?
Approximately 2 miles/hour—although it feels MUCH faster! More details.
Where does your funding come from?
Rental fees and donations from the community.
Does staff live on-site?
Some camp staff live on site year-round and some are at camp seasonally.
How do I apply to be on Whispering Winds’ summer staff?
