55 or older? Attend our Senior Moment retreat! The event promises laughter, joy and relaxation along with fun activities and delicious meals. We’ll have a great reunion sharing our joy-filled senior moments in our Founders Hall and Prayer Chapel.

All guests will be staying in our comfortable, deluxe lodge rooms with your own private bathroom and shower or our Dormitory Village for a discounted rate. Couples will have a private room and singles will share with two or three other seniors.

Because every individual’s ability to pay varies, we are offering voluntary tiered pricing. Only the Full Subsidy rate is required, however, you may choose the Actual Cost, which more accurately reflects Whispering Winds’ costs for providing this retreat. These rates are completely optional and will not affect your experience in any way. If you need to cancel, we can refund you all but $50 up to seven days before the start of camp. After that, no refunds will be made.

Terry Hershey has served as a Protestant minister, and is now a writer and landscape designer on Vashon Island, near Seattle, Washington. He speaks throughout the US and Canada on relationships and spirituality and gardening. Terry writes and teaches about being intoxicated with this world, embracing the sacred present. His newest book, The Power of Pause: becoming more by doing less, invites us to allow our souls catch up with our bodies. Terry’s seminars and lectures are about celebrating life, by hearing the music, not just playing the right notes. Mostly he loves to dance with his son, and watch bald eagles ride the currents in the canyon behind his house.

May a friend and I reserve a private lodge room?
The private lodge room rate is for married couples only. Individuals will share a room with up to three others. This way we can accommodate more seniors!

What hook-ups are provided for RVs?
Water and electricity. We only have two RV spaces with full hook-ups. More spaces are available.

How soon do I need to register?
Please register as soon as possible. Last year we filled up and had to turn people away.

What happens if I cancel?
It takes time for the office staff to process your registration and payment as well as cancel it and open your spot to another guest. If you have paid in full, we can refund you all but $50 up to seven days before the start of camp. After that, no refunds will be made. Food and supplies will have already been purchased and it will generally be too late to fill your spot.

How do I communicate special wants and needs, such as food allergies or lodging requests?
Please list these under “Other important details” on the registration page.

How do I get around camp now that I can’t walk as well as I used to?
Shuttle-type or car transportation will be provided to those in need.

What forms of payment may I use if I register on-line?
VISA, MasterCard, (debit also) American Express and Discover.

What if I want to mail in a registration form?
