Leaving a gift to Whispering Winds in your Will or Trust

When you make a gift of bequest to Whispering Winds, you are not only creating a legacy for you and your family but contributing to the future of Whispering Winds.  A gift or bequest costs you nothing now but offers you a way to support a program of your choice. Although unrestricted gifts are the most valuable because they can be used to meet opportunities or unforeseen needs as they arise, we also accept restricted or designated gifts that are made with a particular program or purpose in mind.  Gifts or bequests to Whispering Winds are not subject to federal income or state taxes, meaning we are able to use the form of a gift for purposes you specify.

A fund credit by a gift or bequest can be made in the names of the donors or other persons of their choosing.  Sometimes donors make gifts in memory of family members or friends that have had a significant impact on their lives.

How to Make a Gift or Bequest

Making a bequest to Whispering Winds is easy.  You may sign a new trust agreement, a codicil to your present will or amend your present trust instrument.  To ensure that your exact intentions are implemented, estate planning documents should be prepared in consultation with your attorney.

You may fund a gift of bequest with the specific dollar amount or a specific asset, such as real estate or securities.  Alternatively, you can specify that Whispering Winds is to receive your entire estate, percentage of your estate or a residual of your estate.

You may also name Whispering Winds as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy.  If you need help, our staff is ready to assist you in making the best charitable gift decisions for your financial needs.
