The Whispering Winds Waiver (link above) is required for anyone entering camp, and it must be submitted in advance.

Camp Emmaus is a five-day leadership institute offered by the Diocese of San Diego designed to train youth leaders in Christian leadership skills by helping them reflect on their call to discipleship. The interactive learning process throughout the week helps them have the experience of hands-on learning and group sharing. The week will also include daily mass and reconciliation. If you are a High School student who is a leader at your parish, please contact your Youth Minister for details on attending. All participants must register through their parish.

Camp Emmaus will include three tracks:

  • Beginners track– First-time attendees
  • Veterans track– Attended in the past
  • Young Adult track– Young adults ages 18-20 who are actively serving in Youth Ministry. Must be one year out of high school to participate. Limit 2 per parish.

Rate: $TBD 2024

* 4 nights of lodging
* 12 meals

Registration Instructions

Youth: Must be an entering sophomore, junior or senior.

Young Adults: Must be 18-20 years old.

Chaperones: Must be 21+ years old. One chaperone is required per 8 youth attending.

If you are a parish CYM interested in having your group participate, please contact your Youth Minister for details on attending. All participants must register through their parish youth program. Please note that both waivers (links above) are required for anyone entering camp, and they need to be submitted in advance.

Activities

Camp Emmaus provides high school students and youth leaders with spiritual growth that can be assessed through daily mass, worship, and reconciliation. This is a wonderful opportunity for all teens to grow closer to God and have fun learning about youth leadership. There will be a wide array of activities taking place at Camp Emmaus such as:

  • Praise and Worship
  • Large Group Presentations
  • Concert
  • Talent Show
  • Proposal of a Parish Project
  • How to plan Prayer
  • Keynote Speakers
  • And more fun-filled activities!!

Lodging

Campers will be housed in our lodge rooms or dormitory village. Campers may bring a pillow and sleeping bag or twin bed sheets and a blanket.
